M-4 Mandolin
M-4 Mandolin
Bolivian rosewood backs and sides. Spruce top. Royal Blackwood fretboard and bridge.
Rosewood gives a really full and rich sound. Smooth and will make your neighbors mad if you're pushing it after hours.
For the full-fingered folks we offer all our mandolins with the 'W' (wide neck) version. It measures 1 1/4" at the nut. Standard is 1 1/8".
All feature Royal Blackwood fretboards with a cool abalone dot at the 12th fret.
All 'W' (wide neck) series models have Royal Blackwood fretboard and bridge. The wide neck is 1 - 1/4″ at the nut for those of you with gigantic fingers.
All "J" (jumbo) series models are specialty made with a mandola body using a mandolin neck. We have found it giving a richer, fuller sound compared to the regular mandolin version.

Torrefaction is a scientific process that results in changes to the cellular structure of the wood. It quickly turns new wood into what naturally takes decades, saving a lifetime of waiting for an instrument to finally get that aged tone. Torrefied wood is far less likely to expand or contract, meaning instruments will be less vulnerable to atmospheric conditions and less likely to crack.
Why are we offering it? Looks cool, sounds cool! Has a great aged patina look and a wonderful aged tonality.
Two options: Standard Mando sizes and Jumbo sizes.
