BEHOLD CITIZENS. Have you ever wanted a mandolin and a mandola smashed into the same instrument? Do you despise keeping a million strings in tune? Do you revel in angering the bluegrass gods? Well boy do i have the mandolin equivalent of Frankenstein’s Monster for you. See what happens when we are left unsupervised for too long? This is the first prototype of the Big Muddy 5 string mando, tuned C-G-D-A-E. Technically a Mandola in size and scale length, its a super fun instrument to noodle around on. Why did we make this monstrosity? Exceptional boredom. Will we ever make another? I have no idea (we do accept bribes) Will there ever be a 10 string version? NO. Anyway, if you want a little piece of history and/or are clinically insane, hurry up and buy this before the bluegrass police find out what we are doing and burn us at the stake for crimes against humanity
